Comments due April 1.<\/b><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<span style=\"font-family: &quot;Cambria&quot;,serif;\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<span style=\"font-family: &quot;Cambria&quot;,serif;\">Our concerns<br \/>\ninclude these:<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-left: .5in; font-size: 7pt; font-stretch: normal;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><!--[endif]--><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Cambria&quot;,serif;\">The<br \/>\nroute of the project is over 3.4 miles through neighborhoods and areas where<br \/>\nthe Chatham contaminated waste plume has been extensively<br \/>\ndocumented.&nbsp;&nbsp; This includes almost two miles of new sewer pipe down<br \/>\nPark Drive and Felicita Road.&nbsp; <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-left: .5in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;\">\n<!--[if !supportLists]--><span style=\"font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol;\">\u00b7<span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt; font-stretch: normal;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><!--[endif]--><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Cambria&quot;,serif;\">This<br \/>\nproject will trench 14 feet into areas where groundwater and soil vapors are<br \/>\nknown to be at levels of 4-7 feet in some areas.&nbsp; <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-left: .5in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;\">\n<!--[if !supportLists]--><span style=\"font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol;\">\u00b7<span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt; font-stretch: normal;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><!--[endif]--><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Cambria&quot;,serif;\">The<br \/>\nproject does not propose any response plan unless groundwater is reached\u2014a<br \/>\ncondition that, based on the data, is almost guaranteed along the 3.4 mile<br \/>\nroute.&nbsp; <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-left: .5in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;\">\n<!--[if !supportLists]--><span style=\"font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol;\">\u00b7<span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt; font-stretch: normal;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><!--[endif]--><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Cambria&quot;,serif;\">The<br \/>\npotential to expose workers and neighbors to soil vapors could occur even in<br \/>\nareas where groundwater is not reached and, again, with no plan or mitigation<br \/>\nin place. <span style=\"color: #1f497d;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span>Many of these<br \/>\nchemicals are listed known or probable carcinogens and reproductive toxins. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-left: .5in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;\">\n<!--[if !supportLists]--><span style=\"font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol;\">\u00b7<span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt; font-stretch: normal;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><!--[endif]--><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Cambria&quot;,serif;\">The<br \/>\nextensive Hargis Studies were not consulted (only one map) and an initial<br \/>\ndiscussion of the full extent of the relevant aspects of the contamination is not included.&nbsp;<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-left: .5in; font-size: 7pt; font-stretch: normal;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><!--[endif]--><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Cambria&quot;,serif;\">They<br \/>\nwill only develop a plan to address contaminated groundwater if they hit<br \/>\nit\u2026which is almost guaranteed\u2026thus leaving the site open for an unknown period<br \/>\nof time.&nbsp; They should figure this out in advance. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-left: .5in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;\">\n<!--[if !supportLists]--><span style=\"font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol;\">\u00b7<span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt; font-stretch: normal;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><!--[endif]--><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Cambria&quot;,serif;\">Trenching<br \/>\nfor new sewer lines in new areas runs the risk of acting as a french drain collecting contaminated groundwater and<br \/>\ntransporting it to other areas where the groundwater is not contaminated or<br \/>\nfacilitate the movement of it downgradient and toward the lake.&nbsp;&nbsp; None<br \/>\nof this is addressed in the document.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-left: .5in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;\">\n<!--[if !supportLists]--><span style=\"font-family: Symbol;
