font-size: 12.0pt;\">Escondido City Council Chambers<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/div>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<span style=\"font-family: &quot;Cambria&quot;,serif; font-size: 12.0pt;\">Escondido<br \/>\nCity Council will make their final decision on the Oak Creek housing<br \/>\ndevelopment in southwest Escondido. &nbsp;Oak<br \/>\nCreek will build 65 home, gated community in a floodplain on rural open space<br \/>\nand farmland adjacent to Felicita Park on the \u2018duck pond\u2019 property.&nbsp; It will annex over 40-acres to the city and<br \/>\nbuild massive homes on compact lots that will encroach on the creeks. &nbsp;Escondido Neighbors has engaged extensively to<br \/>\ntry to secure improvements in the project to reduce impacts to wildlife, oak<br \/>\ntrees, traffic, community character, air quality, water quality, flooding,<br \/>\nwater supply, contaminated groundwater plume, and cultural resources but<br \/>\nimprovements have not been made.&nbsp; In<br \/>\nfact, the project was changed and will worsen the impacts.&nbsp; <span><b><o:p><\/o:p><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<b><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Cambria&quot;,serif; font-size: 12.0pt;\">Escondido Neighbors United<br \/>\n(ENU) OPPOSES the plan for the following reasons:&nbsp; <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-left: .5in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;
