Plume now south of Via Rancho Parkway."},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\nWe are sorry to report that we have very bad news. &nbsp;We have finally had a chance to review the &nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/file\/d\/0B6kjEpyeqigfRTRKck9RTnJrWk0\/edit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">January 16 Felicita Creek Evaluation Update<\/a>&nbsp;and the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/file\/d\/0B6kjEpyeqigfWDhtMmVram5QbVU\/edit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Semi-Annual Monitoring Report Dec 12, 2014<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Escondido Neighbors United filed this letter today with the Department &nbsp;of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC)&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/file\/d\/0B6kjEpyeqigfbkJsUUFmS0xzc0U\/edit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ENU to DTSC Feb 16 2015 Requesting action on Chatham<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In short, c<span style=\"font-family: Cambria, serif; font-size: 11pt;\">ollectively, these reports show that results recorded:<\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: .5in; margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 0in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;\">\n<!--[if !supportLists]--><span style=\"font-family: Symbol; font-size: 11.0pt; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol;\">\u00b7<span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt; font-stretch: normal;\">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Cambria&quot;,serif; font-size: 11.0pt;\">a return to some of the highest recorded levels so far of TCE, PCE, 1,2-DCE, and 1,4-dioxane in the creek and <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-bottom: .0001pt; font-size: 11pt;\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Cambria, serif; font-size: 11pt;\">Further, the fact that<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Cambria, serif; font-size: 11pt;\"> owners of wells on the Oak Creek\/Homeland site refused access to the consultants for testing is completely unacceptable<\/span><b style=\"font-family: Cambria, serif; font-size: 11pt;\"> <\/b><span style=\"font-family: Cambria, serif; font-size: 11pt;\">and undermines the overall assessment<\/span><b style=\"font-family: Cambria, serif; font-size: 11pt;\">.<\/b><span style=\"font-family: Cambria, serif; font-size: 11pt;\">&nbsp;<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Cambria, serif; font-size: 11pt;\">As is well-known, this area is under consideration for development into homes<br \/>\nwhere families and children will be present.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div style=\"text-indent: -24px;\">\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<span style=\"text-indent: -0.25in;\"><span style=\"font-family: Cambria, serif; font-size: 14.6666669845581px; text-indent: 0px;\">It is clear the contamination continues expanding unabated and more must be done.<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Cambria, serif; font-size: 14.6666669845581px; text-indent: 0px;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;This situation is intolerable and we have all waited long enough. &nbsp;We are calling on the regulatory agencies to demand more action.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;
