\nWe are excited to bring you our first Escondido Neighbors United<\/a> (ENU)<\/span><\/i><\/b> <\/span>Community
\nUpdate<\/u><\/b>.  <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\nWho
\nwe are.  <\/span>Escondido Neighbors United<\/a><\/span><\/i><\/span><\/b> <\/span>is a group of residents, friends, and
\npark users living in and near Escondido. 
\n<\/span>We love our area and we are concerned about area issues and decided to
\nwork together to take action and solve problems.<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\nWhat
\nare we trying to accomplish?  <\/span><\/span><\/b>We
\nhave several priorities on which we are currently working:<\/span><\/div>\n

    \nOppose
    \nCity annexations if they negatively impact current county residents, water
    \nquality, or the environment, including Oak Creek and Safari Highlands Ranch.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      \nImprove Public Participation<\/a><\/span><\/u><\/i>.<\/span><\/i>  <\/span>ENU<\/a><\/span><\/b> has written a letter to the City
      \nmaking recommendations for improving outreach and public involvement in City
      \ndecisions.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            \nCouncil <\/span><\/b>and let them know you support delay of the Oak Creek
            \nEnvironmental Impact Report until all information is available for review by
            \nthe public.  <\/span>Let them know you do not
            \nwant the City to annex contaminated land.

              Let the City and County know that you support a strong Water Quality Improvement Plan (WQIP) that will improve water quality and require action to clean up the Chatham contamination in Felicita Creek.<\/li>\n
